Barr Smith Library
For over 140 years, the Barr Smith Library has been a cornerstone of the University of Adelaide, providing essential resources to our community. To continue meeting the evolving needs of students and researchers, we need ongoing investment. Since 1882, donor support has enabled the library to acquire books, journals, rare materials, and technology, enhancing research in areas like climate change and environmental sustainability, artificial intelligence and cyber security, cancer and infectious diseases, education and more.
The Barr Smith Library:
- Supports more than 21,000 learners and researchers each year.
- Provides over 500 individual study spaces and 300+ computers.
- Offers 24/7 access to the High Use Collection and study spaces on Level 3.
